TriBeCa Location
Wolfgang took a turn of the century TriBeCa building and designed it to reflect the avant-garde artistry of this famed area of the city while creating visual ties to our Park Avenue location.
With 14′ arched ceilings in custom designed stone mosaics, a private dining room, 1,000 bottle wine room, walnut floors and long mahogany bar; our TriBeCa restaurant is intriguing marriage between the traditional and the contemporary.
While our patron’s eyes are drawn upward to David Inbal’s custom mosaics, metal panels along the mahogany bar, suede wrapped walls and alabaster light fixtures, all combine to create an atmosphere of new age elegance.
TriBeCa: A Short History
The name “TriBeCa” was coined to define the section of Manhattan that falls within the Triangle Bellow Canal Street.
From the early 1800s – 1960, this neighborhood was the hub for Manhattan’s food wholesalers and represents the truest examples of cast iron architecture the country has to offer.
While only remnants of these buildings former functions can be seen in faded signs for eggs, meat, fruits and vegetables; Wolfgang’s location was once the distribution center for spices and coffee…this area is now home to some of the city’s finest restaurants.
Not to mention the TriBeCa film festival-this event has been significantly growing in popularity from one year to the next.
Wolfgang’s is please to be adding our specialty to TriBeCa.
Our new location being on Greenwich Street has its own unique history.
This street was so called because when New York centered on Wall Street and the Battery, Greenwich Street was the “high road” out of town to Greenwich Village.
Wolfgang’s is please to be joining in the renaissance of TriBeCa.

Dears,
Greetings from Germany!
This way, Carolin and me want to thank you very much for the great evening and dinner, which we had on Tuesday in New York and that you have made possible at your enjoyable location and your great hospitality at 409 Greenwich Street. We were happy to find out ourselves that you keep what you promise in course of the report we saw in television. The steak was the best, we have ever eaten! Therefore, we are happy to recommend you and hope to come back to New York and to you (of course) soon.
Wish you all the best. Take care!
Martin & Carolin
I had the pleasure of dinning at the Tribeca location Monday night for the first time. What an experience!!! I can’t capture in words the way your mouth feels after you begin feasting on the beautifully cooked steak for 3.
Everything was perfect – if you like steak, I mean really enjoy great cuts of perfect steak you need to treat yourself to this experience.
Though Monday was my first time it will not be my last!
Thank you to all the courteous, friendly and professions staff!!
